There is one voice in the leadership of Boulder County today.  That single voice is liberal and oriented to controlling your life.  I want to create diversity on the Board of Commissioners.  I want to be there to stop you from having to put solar collectors on your swimming pools.  I want you to be able to build your dream house on your land.  I want you to have modest taxes and extraordinary levels of service.  One voice leadership does not accomplish that.  Diversity of opinion and a conservative voice will help accomplish that.

We all know the challenges we face in this presidential election year.  The prospect of a President Obama is truly frightening.  However, I must thank Mr. Obama.  Mr. Obama gave me a message that helped me reconnect with my roots.

Mr. Obama made me remember that I cling to the belief that, in America, if you work hard you have a chance to succeed and live the life of your choice. I cling to my family and friends. I cling to my God.

Mr. Obama made me realize that I am bitter that our one-voice government in Boulder County is attempting to constrain you from living the life of your choice.  That I am bitter that no one asked the question “what does that mean” when our commissioners said they wanted to create a sustainable community that

“... provides for all the needs of its inhabitants

(including people, animals and habitats).”

Yes.  It says that on the Boulder County Web site.

Mr. Obama made me realize that I am proud to be an American.  Proud to be able to work for what I want to accomplish.  Proud that I can ask you to make me the rational voice on the Boulder County Board of Commissioners.

Yes, I'm a clinging, bitter, & proud American.

Thank you for your support.  Please vote for me when you have the chance.
